The 2009 Win4Life program wrapped up the last weekly session on Saturday, March 21 at the MUSC wellness center with a boot camp training session led by NFL Hall of Famer Joe DeLamielleure. The ex-Buffalo Bills offensive lineman ran the kids through a grueling workout focusing on flexibility and agility. Although the students worked out harder than ever before, their exhaustion was curbed by a shared excitement from training with a pro football player. The students then headed upstairs to the rooftop-tennis courts of MUSC for instruction from Ben Simon, MUSC pro. Leslie Allen, former Top 20 Sony Ericsson WTA Tour player and founder of the Win4Life program, was also there to lead the kids through a mentoring session, assignments and tennis instruction.
