Cup History: Justine’s victory at the 2003 Family Circle Cup over world No. 1 Serena Williams sent shock waves throughout the sports world, and was the start of a year that would bring her to the top spot in women’s tennis. In capturing the 2005 Family Circle Cup title (defeating Elena Dementieva 7-5, 6-4 in the final), she became the fourth lowest-ranked Tier I winner ever at No. 43. Justine is the only player in Family Circle Cup history with a perfect record (11-0) at the tournament.

Career Overview: Turned pro on January , 1999 in Antwerp, becoming fifth of now six players to win first Tour event. Had a breakthrough season in 2001 cracking Top 20 and Top 10 after winning first three Tour singles titles at Gold Coast, Canberra and 's-Hertogenbosch. Had first year-end No.1 finish in 2002 after winning 75 matches, eight titles and $3,667,430 Won first two Grand Slam titles of career at Roland Garros and US Open. After her win at Charleston in 2005 she followed with a perfect clay court season including victories at Warsaw, Berlin, and Roland Garros. Was first player since Graf (1993) to reach finals at all four Grand Slams plus Tour Championships.In 2007Henin won 10 of 14 events entered and becoming first in Tour history to win over $5 million in a single year. Now one of only nine women to claim seven or more Grand Slams in Open Era. Finished 2007 season with a .940 winning percentage, highest since Steffi Graf's .977. Has recently won 41st career Tour singles title at Antwerp on 2008.
