| | | About the Race
The Susan G. Komen Foundation's largest & most popular event is the Race for the Cure®. Started as one local 5K (3.1 miles) race, this event has grown to be a national series of 110+ races in cities around the nation. The Race is one of the nation's top 5K races and would not be possible without the 75,000+ volunteers and respective race committees that help put this event on.
*The 2007 Komen Charleston Race for the Cure® set a record for participation with 5,521 runners entered, and over 8,000 people in total attendance at the Family Circle Tennis Center on Daniel Island.
