Super Stats: Won her third career Sanex WTA Tour singles title in 2000 at Quebec City, Canada. Also has 10 doubles titles to her credit. Reached her third career Grand Slam quarterfinal appearance at 2000 Roland Garros. Qualified for last year’s season-ending championship as one of one of the year’s Top 16 players. Holds record for most games in a women’s Grand Slam singles match (58).
Personal: Younger brother attends college on a tennis scholarship and plans to play professionally as well. Enjoys reading, watching sports events and riding horseback. A member of Athletes Against Drugs and makes appearances for the organization. Founded the Chanda Rubin Foundation in association with the Southern Tennis Patrons Foundation, which benefits a number of charities.
