Winner of 7 Sanex WTA Tour singles titles and 22 doubles titles. Reached her first Grand Slam final at 1998 Wimbledon, becoming the lowest ranked player in the Open Era to reach the tournament’s final.

Personal: Released her first book last year titled “Inside Women’s Tennis”. Enjoys listening to Whitney Houston and playing golf. Follows a local Bordeaux soccer team and is the cousin of French soccer captain Didier deschamps. Was born in Africa and lived there until age 8. In 1994 she established a tennis academy in Cabreton, France.
