1. Who is Beachwalker Rentals?
Beachwalker Rentals is an independent resort rental company specializing in Kiawah vacations. After more than a decade of experience, we've built a solid reputation for value and friendly service. Many families return year after year making their vacation plans with us. Let us help make Kiawah Island your vacation spot for years to come.

2. Where is Kiawah Island?
Located 21 miles southeast of Charleston, South Carolina, Kiawah Island is a 10,000 acre coastal island with 10 miles of sandy shoreline on the Atlantic. Many who visit Kiawah Island also visit Charleston since it is so near!

3. What is the weather like?
Kiawah Island is in a semitropical climate and has an average temperature of 65 degrees. Spring and Fall are most delightful with average daily highs around 80 (Farenheit). During the summer, the daily highs are in the upper 80's and water temperature is in the lower 80's. Even the winters are mild with average daily highs in the 60's. Great climate for a beach vacation!

4. What types of vacation rentals do you offer?
Beachwalker has carefully selected a variety of vacation rental homes to offer - there is a property to suit every vacationer's needs. We offer 1, 2, and 3 bedroom villas (some people call these condominiums or flats) with a variety of views including oceanfront, lakeview, and golf course view. For those wanting a little more privacy, we offer 2, 3, 4, and 5 bedroom cottages and homes. As with the villas, there are homes available with a variety of views including oceanfront, lake, woods, and fairway views.

5. How are the rentals equipped?
Each privately owned villa and home offered by Beachwalker Rentals has been furnished and equipped with your comfort in mind. You'll find a plentiful supply of linens and a full complement of housewares and appliances, including a dishwasher, disposal, range, refrigerator, washer/dryer, color T.V. and central air conditioning. To make your stay truly carefree, departure maid service is provided.

6. Are there activities for children?
Absolutely. For the little ones, there is Kamp Kiawah at the Night Heron Park Complex. Kamp Kiawah offers supervised activities during the spring and summer. Also, each of the tennis facilities offers beginner and advanced tennis programs and clinics for the kids. For the teens there are "Dive In" movies, night volleyball, frisbee golf, and other planned activities. The Kiawah Island Nature Program offers island tours for the entire family. These tours include birding tours, island bicycle tours, marsh creek canoeing, and beachcombing.

7. And for the adults?
Tennis anyone? Both the East Beach and West Beach Tennis Clubs offer planned activities for the beginner as well as the advanced player. For the golf enthusiast, there are several island courses and in the Charleston/Kiawah Island area there are over 20 excellent courses from such renowned designers as Tom Fazio, Gary Player, Robert Trent Jones and Jack Nicklaus. Additional island activities include bicycling, swimming, an annual marathon, summer cook-outs, and planned holiday activities.

8. Are there shops & dining nearby?
On Kiawah Island there are several fine restaurants including the Indigo House, Jasmine Porch, and Sweetgrass. The Straw Market in West Beach has several shops to browse. And with Charleston so close, you'll definitely want to explore the historic downtown area for shopping and fine dining.
