Reservation Information
- Reservations:
- Reservations will be accepted beginning January 2, 1998. Reservations
can be made via our online forms, in person, or by phone.
Our office is open seven days a week from 9:00 am until
5:00 pm and from January 2 until August 31, the office will
remain open until 8:00 pm. for your convenience.
A fifty percent advance rent
payment must be received within 7 days of making the reservation,
otherwise the reservation will be canceled. A lease agreement and
confirmation will be forwarded to you upon receipt of the initial
rent payment. The lease must be signed and returned to our office
prior to your arrival.
The balance of your rent, taxes and any applicable fee is due
thirty days prior to check in. You may pay this balance by
personal check, money order or cashier's check. Personal checks
will not be accepted if there is less than 30 days prior to your
arrival. If balance or rent is not paid until check-in, an
additional $20.00 processing fee is due.
- Vacation Investment Insurance
- We now offer Vacation Investment
Insurance, (VII) offered through CSA Travel Protection, covering
financial losses you may incur because of unforeseen circumstances,
illness, and injuries - it even includes coverage for mandatory hurricane
evacuations. The cost of this insurance of 4% of the base rent and
is automatically added and due with your advance payment.
- Rates:
- Pre-season rates are effective from May 24-June 13, 1998.
In-season rates are effective from June 14-July 18, 1998.
Peak-season rates are effective from July 19-August 22, 1998.
Post-season rates are effective from August 23-September 12, 1998.
Off-season rates are effective from January 1-May 23, 1998 and
September 13-December 31, 1998. A North Carolina sales tax and
a Dare County or Currituck occupancy tax will be added to each
of these rates.
- Check-In Time is 4:00 pm:
- All properties north of Duck will check in/check out at
our Corolla office. All other properties will check in at
the Kitty Hawk office. If you expect to arrive after office
hours, please notify our rental office so arrangements for
your keys can be made.
- Check-Out Time is 10:00 am:
- Keys and items rented must be returned to our office upon check-out.
- Cancellation Policy:
- A cancellation fee of ten percent will be charged
if you cancel your reservation. If the unit is not re-rented
for the canceled period, the entire advance rental payment
will be forfeited. If the unit is re-rented, rent payments and
balances paid, less a ten percent cancellation fee, will be
refunded upon receipt of advance rent payment from new tenant.
- Security Deposit and Reservation fee:
- There is a minimum security deposit of $100.00 for
most rental units. Upon a satisfactory inspection,
your deposit will be refunded within thirty days of your
departure. A reservation fee of $35.00 will be added to each reservation.
- Length of Rental:
- Advance reservations will be taken for a minimum of one
week beginning either on Saturday or Sunday. Partial week
reservations may also be made, however, these reservations can
only be made five days in advance with a three night minimum.
In addition to the normal security deposit and reservation fee,
a partial week rental will also carry a charge of $20.00.
- Cottage Capacity:
- Maximum occupancy for each cottage is listed and applies to
children as well as adults.
- Tenants Responsibilities:
- We ask that you treat each cottage or condo as if it were
your own. Please leave it clean, neat and undamaged. Remove
all trash from inside the unit and dispose
of it in the outside trash containers. Upon vacating, please
lock all windows and doors, turn off lights and A/C or heat
and return your keys and items rented from us to our office by 10:00am
on your scheduled day of departure.
- Pets:
- No pets are allowed in any unit stating NO PETS. Violation
of this regulation is grounds for immediate eviction without
refund. Pets are allowed in units stating pets are permitted.
There will be a $65.00 charge for extermination of units that
allow pets. Pet owners will be financially liable for any damages.
Pets must be declared upon check in.
- Furnishings and Equipment:
- All rental units are privately owned and reflect the needs
and tastes of their owners. All units are furnished for normal
housekeeping with dishes, glassware, silverware, and cookware.
Linens are not furnished, but can be rented through our office
or from rental companies in the area.
- Family Groups Only:
- All rentals are to families and responsible adults. No
sororities, fraternities, non-family or unrelated groups
will be permitted. Misrepresentation will result in immediate
eviction of the premises without refund.
- Items Left Behind:
- Atlantic Realty will not be responsible for personal
items left behind. Please be sure to double check your
cottage/condo prior to departure. If we are asked to return
personal items to you, there will be a $10.00 service charge
in addition to C.O.D. costs.
- Personal Checks:
- We don't accept personal checks unless received thirty days
prior to your arrival. We suggest that you bring ample cash
and/or travelers checks as out of town checks can be
difficult to cash on the Outer Banks. We are unable to cash
personal checks at our office.
- Errors:
- Every effort has been made to assure that our descriptions
are accurate; however, we cannot be held responsible for changes
made by owners in furnishings and equipment, or for printing errors.
