A POST-MATCH INTERVIEW WITH: STEPHANIE FORETZ
QUARTERFINAL LOSS TO SANDRINE TESTUD
6-7 (4), 6- 3, 6-3

Q. Stephanie, were you at all nervous or anything like that having to play Sandrine, somebody from the same country, maybe somebody that you know, in such a pressure match like this?
STEPHANIE FORETZ: No, no. I wasn't nervous because as she is, she's 11, and I'm just 100 and I'm looking to lose.

Q. I understand that she hurt her ankle or was limping on that. How did that affect you?
STEPHANIE FORETZ: It was difficult to play after when she fell down. And I tried to concentrate, but she was good run after, and I think she can play good after that.

Q. Were you surprised she could play so well after the ankle?
STEPHANIE FORETZ: When your ankle is hurt, I think we can play, but I think now it's more difficult, yeah. I don't know, but she said she's not good.

Q. Were you surprised she kept playing, because like you say, often you take the bandage off and it swells.
STEPHANIE FORETZ: Yeah. It was a bad injury, I think, yeah. I'm not surprised, no, because she can play.

Q. Could you just talk about that third set a little bit, kind of walk us through how that third set went?
STEPHANIE FORETZ: I was a little bit tired, and it was difficult to move good like, you know, (I did) in the first set, and Sandrine, she was very aggressive, and she didn't (give) me some many points.

Q. You had a good week here.
STEPHANIE FORETZ: Yes. It's a very good tournament, and I'm happy to win like two matches in the quali because it was very hard, and after I play very good in the main draw in the match, but it's normal I'm tired today because I have many matches before. I think it's a good thing for the next few weeks. I'll be prepared for the future matches.

Q. You had said yesterday that to qualify and to get in maybe the first round was what you had been doing. Is that going to be enough anymore or are you going to have your sights higher now?
STEPHANIE FORETZ: Yes. Normally next week it's better, and I can play some main draw, I think. But I need to play some more quali, I think, and I would like to play more main draw. It's better for me to play many players like this, the Top 10. It's good to beat these players, and I hope I will play more matches like that.

Q. Have you played many main draws, get into many main draws straight in?
STEPHANIE FORETZ: No. No, no.

Q. At the French?
STEPHANIE FORETZ: Yeah. I'm in the main draw, last. Last time, yeah. Three times.

Q. One cut?
STEPHANIE FORETZ: One cut.

Q. Does that feel special?
STEPHANIE FORETZ: Yeah.
